chances are real good

Temple Square, Salt Lake City......yesterday

pics by my sis, Kylee
I am super duper lucky
to live near this gorgeous place.
The temple in Salt Lake City
is just absolutely amazing.
Especially this time of year.

Walking the grounds
of the temple brings
such a peaceful and joyful
feeling.
I love spiritual reminders
like this
that life is good.
That I'm blessed.
That our time on earth is so temporary
and that we are part of a
much bigger and eternal plan
of our Heavenly Father.

I've got a huge hunch
that no matter where you live,
your chances of having a temple
nearby are pretty good.

And I bet that if you visit one,
just by strolling around it,
chances are also good
that you will walk away a
better and happier person.
I want to hear all
about it if you go!

  1. I also love that the temple reminds us that this life is not the end. I love knowing that one day my little Jacks will be free from the limitations and troubles that restrict him in this life. Thanks for the reminder. With the impending snow and rain that will arrive shortly, I'm loving your flower pics!

  2. That was so much fun and Grandma Laura is still talking about it. She can't figure out how you got these pictures "back already". It was a perfect 4 generation outing and I'm the luckiest gal in the world!

  5. Thanks for the reminder. I'm having an extra sad week and I could really use a pick-me-up. Maybe Mason and I will swing by the temple while were out running errands tomorrow :)

  7. I live in CA and back in 2007 I was in SLC for business, and I missed my flight back home. I had 6 hours to kill until the next flight, so I got on a bus and went to the temple to take a tour. Just me, myself and I. I am not LDS (I'm Catholic) but my best friend is LDS, and when she heard I missed my flight, of course it was because Heavenly Father wanted me to stay a while longer to enjoy the temple, lol. I must say, I had a very nice time. The two guides I had were the sweetest girls. I bought one of those disposable cameras and I took pictures and had people take pictures of me in various places at the temple. I would like to go back sometime.

  8. You know, when you have young children, it can be really hard to get to the temple. Looks like you have the perfect solution in taking your children with you and just enjoying the grounds and the wonderful atmosphere. Good thinking!
