the Golden Girl

Birthday Eve

SUGAR-y cereal - one of her fave gifts
'cause it's raaaare at our house.

An impromptu party with the neighbors.
My kind of party.
Red Rover.
Ice cream cones.
Dancing in the living room like wild banchees.

Thanks to Lion House for the recipe!

Can you believe they make gold candles?!
The grandparents came over to celebrate.

Happy Birthday to Spencer, too!

Celebrating with the cousins.

Bugg was NOT a fan.

Mia wanted Pinkalicious cupcakes
to eat with her cousins.

Thanks, new friend Jaime, for the recipe!

She read the book while they ate cupcakes.
Is she not the sweetest thing?!!!

Six. SIX?!! I've been a mama for 6 years?!!
How cool is that.

  3. 6 years is WAY cool. And that party looked like SO MUCH FUN! Have I mentioned how much I love your photography? Yup. I have...but I'll say it again. You're a good mom. :) (and she's a lucky little girl)

  4. Okay missy, I've wondered this before. Cereal is a rarity? How in the WORLD do you have time every morning to make breakfast AND clean it up? Oh, and take care of your kids and all that other stuff? At our house cereal is breakfast. every. day.

Anyway, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Happy birthday to Mia!

  6. Oh, sorry, Kierst ~ I didn't clarify. It is the SUGAR cereals that we never have. We have hot cereals a LOT and also boring Cheerios/Chex. I just hate paying for stuff that isn't good for us anyway.

and also, Brian works at home (FANTASTIC). So we are all home all the time. It is motivating to cook more. Love you, BFF!

I added "SUGAR" to cereal in the post.

  12. Okay, so I think Heavenly Father coordinates all kinds of things, including trips to Sam's Club! :D I am SO incredibly grateful to have met you tonight. I was really feeling 'in a rut' so to speak about all the stuff I slog through every day that nobody 'gets' and I have just been rather down lately. When you said Hi, I was trying to figure out if I knew you from somewhere because you have a very sweet, friendly aura around you. Thank you for saying Hi and for sharing your wonderful, fun, super cute blog with me! I just may take up writing on my blog more often like I used to. :)
