I made cookies today.
Again.
Well, the cookie
jar was empty.
You are going to
LOVE
this poem.....
A Cookie & a Kiss
Again.
Well, the cookie
jar was empty.
You are going to
LOVE
this poem.....
A Cookie & a Kiss
A house should have a cookie jar
For when it's half past three,
And children hurry home from school
As hungry as can be,
There's nothing quite so splendid
On which a child can sup,
As chocolatey chip cookies
And sweet milk in a cup.
A child should have someone
Waiting with a hug,
No matter what they bring home,
A puppy or a bug.
For children only loiter
When the bell rings to dismiss,
If no one's home to greet them
With a cookie and a kiss.
I don't know who wrote this?
I changed the words a bit.
I don't like ginger cookies.
Do you like pin curls?
I am in love with them.
And chocolate.
And my family.
Amen! What a cute poem. My kids are always quick to inform me when the cookie jar needs to be refilled!
ReplyDeleteThe curls are cute :)
So that's what Mia meant when she called me last night and said, "Mom did pincurls." I was picturing Bugg. Love the curls. You look a little like Grandma Laura when she was young.
ReplyDeleteI love that poem. I wish every child in the world had someone waiting for them when they got home...
ReplyDeleteThat is a great poem, thanks for sharing.
